CANADIAN CONDOMINIUM INSTITUTE

“The Voice”
The CCI National Conference last fall had seen amazing statistics about how many condominium units there are in Canada and in particular, British Columbia. While so far there is no way of doing a complete head count short of doing a land title office search of each registered strata plan in every land title office in B.C., the statistics suggested that there were over 220,000 units in B.C. with over 50% of those located in the Lower Mainland.
Suffice it to say the development and construction of condominiums is a growth industry but as many folks found out at the Canadian Condominium Institute Vancouver chapter’s most recent seminar held on February 19, 2011, the majority of people who purchase a condominium as their home know little about what condominium living is all about, including understanding how the Strata Property Act and the bylaws of their strata corporation work in an integrated manner to govern their ownership and condominium lifestyle!
Suzy is a member of CCI of Canada, British Columbia’s chapter and has attended their annual update meeting and appreciates all the valuable information CCI provides.
